Description
The blade is dark bronze shading to olive along the flat, with a lighter brass line down the fuller and the same brass tone on the guard plate and the pommel. The ring on that guard is the part by which a bayonet slides onto a rifle barrel, and the hands are the plain black gloves of the stock game.
The view model holds 5,081 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 38 bones, spread over seventeen textures rather than one atlas: 1024-wide strips for the left face, the right face and the spine of the blade, a 152×641 map for the ring, a 272×468 for the guard box, and the three hand maps kept at the stock sizes under the porter’s file names. Among them sits a 64×64 file, the size GoldSrc uses for the chrome map that fakes a mirrored sheen on metal. The idle runs 150 frames and every other slot 28. The sound folder holds seventeen M4A1 sounds rather than knife ones. There is no third-person model, so in other players’ hands the knife stays standard, and nothing for the dropped knife, so on the ground it stays standard.
