About CS Nation

CS Nation is a fan-made archive for Counter-Strike 1.6: game builds, weapon and player models, maps, configs and sprays. Everything here is free to download.

How the files are prepared

Every archive is checked and repacked before it goes on the site. The file listing on each page shows exactly what is inside, so you know what you get before downloading.

Previews and screenshots are rendered in the actual GoldSrc engine, on the standard maps, so a model looks on the page the way it will look in your game.

Authors and credit

Most of this content was made by community modders over more than twenty years. Where the author is known, the material page names them and links to their profile.

Who runs the site

The site is run by a small team of long-time CS 1.6 players. We add new materials by hand, test the files and keep the catalogue in order.
