Description

A rebuild of dust2 following the look the map was given in its 2017 rework, moved onto the GoldSrc engine. The screenshots show a bright desert town: sandstone and whitewashed plaster with the render flaking off in patches, arched doorways with iron grilles, latticed window screens, palm trees and overhead wires. One frame looks down a street with a green shop awning and a mosque-like building with tall arched windows behind it; another stands in a cobbled square with barrels, wooden crates on pallets and a mural painted on a wall; a third shows the wide arched hall of the tunnels, plaster piers and light falling in from the openings onto sand on the floor. The sky is pale and cloudless, the sun high.

The build spans 8192 × 8192 × 1476 map units, far wider than de_dust2 at 4864 × 5600 × 960, and holds 7,949 faces on 315 textures, all embedded in the bsp. Sixteen spawns a side make 32 players; there are two bomb sites, no hostages, and buy zones for both teams. The detail sits mostly in props rather than brushwork: 336 sprite props and 31 sprite entities against eight illusionary brushes, plus 16 ambient sound sources and a fog entity. The archive also installs ten prop models for the desert set and a kickball model, six soundscape sounds, five sprite sheets and a radar overview with its coordinate file.
