Description
A station in orbit, played entirely on open platforms above a planet. The centre is a white drum split into two halves with a gap down the middle, ringed by a walkway edged in cyan; from it long narrow catwalks reach out into the black, one rimmed in red and one in cyan, each ending in a small round pad. There is nothing under the walkways but the planet: blue ocean, white cloud and a band of green and yellow glow along its limb, with a starfield above. Surfaces are flat colour rather than any kind of realistic material, so the layout reads as a diagram of itself. One shot takes the whole station from above, the other two follow a single catwalk out and look back at the drum.
The map measures 3984 × 2538 × 2751 units, and the height is real: the platforms sit at very different levels. 12 counter-terrorist and 12 terrorist spawns seat 24 players, with buy zones marked for both teams. No bomb sites, no hostages, and nothing at all lying on the floor, so players fight with what a game_player_equip entity gives them on spawn. Geometry is thin: 1,251 faces and 12 textures, all 12 packed into the .bsp, against 5,383 faces in de_dust2. What holds the map together is 25 teleport triggers, which is how a fall off the walkways is handled, and 20 ambient sound emitters. Five non-solid pieces are used for decoration. The archive installs four sound files, a radar overview image and two more files in the maps folder alongside the map itself.
