Description
A flat snowfield with a handful of huge translucent blocks set on it. The blocks are solid cover, but their faces are half transparent glass, so players and the rifles lying on the snow stay visible straight through them, which is the whole idea behind the name. Everything else is white: the ground, the low border wall around the field, the overcast haze. Snow-covered mountains sit in the sky box behind. One shot looks over the field from above and shows the blocks arranged in a rough arrowhead; another stands between two of them at eye level, where the overlapping glass faces stack up into a milky blur; a third looks down the central lane toward a lone block at the far end, with a wooden plank lying on the snow.
The map measures 1664 × 1920 × 480 units, which makes it one long walk across and nothing more. 12 counter-terrorist and 12 terrorist spawns seat 24 players, and buy zones are marked for both teams. No bomb sites, no hostages. Weapons are laid out in symmetrical pairs on the snow: two each of the AK-47, M4A1, AUG, SG 552, P90, TMP, MAC-10, M3, XM1014, M249 and AWP, 22 pickups. The geometry is as sparse as the layout: 502 faces and five textures, none of them packed into the .bsp, where de_dust2 runs to 5,383 faces and 44 textures. A snow sky box, no water, no ladders and no breakable objects. The archive holds the map and one more file beside it in the maps folder.
