Description
The whole blade is turquoise, lit from within by a pale crackle that spreads across the flat like frost on glass, and the sawback teeth keep the same colour. The guard and grip are black, and the hands wear black gloves under dark blue sleeves. The M9 Bayonet is the fighting knife the US Army adopted in 1986, and paired with its scabbard it works as a wire cutter.
The view model holds 26,519 polygons against the stock knife’s 1040, on 38 bones, under only three textures, each 512×512: one for the glove, one for the sleeve and one for the knife itself. Nothing of the game’s own hand maps remains, and there is no chrome map, so the glow along the blade is painted rather than reflected. The idle runs 417 frames, the draw 38, the stab 64 and the missed stab 56. The archive holds the view model alone, so in other players’ hands and on the ground the knife stays standard.
