Description
The blade is blue, and everything picked out on it is hot pink: the sawback teeth are outlined tooth by tooth, a line of small letters runs along the flat, and a round badge with a little cartoon face sits just above the guard. The crossguard is black, the collar of the handle is pink, and a slot is cut through the blade near the point. The M9 has been the field bayonet of the US Army since 1986: it mounts on a rifle, and with its scabbard it works as a wire cutter, which is what that slot is for. The hands are the game’s own black fingerless gloves.
The view model holds 2,818 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 40 bones, under fourteen textures: the three stock hand maps, ten separate pieces of the knife, among them 200×989 and 204×1001 strips for the two faces of the blade, and a 64×64 chrome map that adds the mirrored sheen GoldSrc fakes on metal. The idle runs 360 frames and the draw 30. What other players see was rebuilt at 1,512 polygons where the stock third-person knife has 112, and the nine knife sounds are in the archive. There is no dropped-knife model, so on the ground it stays standard.
