The blade is deep crimson with gold engraving down its length: columns of small glyphs along the flat, a scalloped band above the sawback teeth, and a slot cut through the steel near the point. The crossguard and the collar at the base of the handle are gold as well. The M9 has been the field bayonet of the US Army since 1986: it mounts on a rifle, and together with its scabbard it works as a wire cutter, which is what the slot is for. The gloves that come with it are black leather with red knitted panels over the back of the hand, padded red knuckle plates and lettering stamped across them.

The view model holds 18,590 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 38 bones, under thirteen textures. Two tall strips, 200×989 and 204×1001, carry the two faces of the blade; the gloves take a 544×547 map and the forearm a 340×519 one; and a 64×64 chrome map adds the mirrored sheen GoldSrc fakes on metal. The idle runs 360 frames and the draw 30. What other players see was rebuilt as well, at 1,512 polygons where the stock third-person knife has 112, and the nine knife sounds ship with the archive. There is no dropped-knife model, so on the ground it stays standard.
