Description
A grey warship alone at sea, rebuilt brush by brush. One shot takes the whole hull from off the bow: a long flat foredeck, a red waterline stripe, a superstructure with a band of tinted bridge windows, a radar dish and lattice masts above it, a boarding ladder down to a small launch alongside, and a flag on a staff at the stern. The second stands on the deck itself, looking aft at the bridge over a raised concrete chevron and a hatch ringed in yellow and black hazard paint. The third looks down on the helicopter pad, where a dark helicopter sits inside a painted circle in front of an open hangar door, with railed catwalks and a lift platform on the deck below. The sea is deep blue, the sky bright with scattered cloud. The name and the layout both point at the Frigate level from GoldenEye 007.
The map measures 5208 × 2352 × 2124 units: narrow, long and unusually tall for its footprint, since the decks stack upward. 16 counter-terrorist and 16 terrorist spawns seat 32 players. Two bomb sites, no hostages, and the map marks buy zones for both teams itself. Geometry runs to 6,997 faces and 92 textures, all of them packed into the .bsp, which puts it near de_aztec (6,262 faces) in face count and well above de_dust2 in textures (44). The ship is detailed with 186 non-solid pieces, and 32 breakable objects, two rotating mechanisms and three ambient sound sources are what actually respond to the player. Besides the .bsp the archive installs three sound files.
