Description
A few blocks of an old city centre rebuilt at street level. The buildings are nineteenth century stucco: pale yellow and white facades with cornices, pilasters and cast iron balcony rails, one of them a corner block cut at an angle over the crossroads, another a heavier classical building with a pediment and a bank branch on the ground floor. Between them stand ornate street lamps, tram wires strung overhead, wrought iron gates in stone piers, low green kiosks and a hoarding. Cars and vans are parked along the kerbs, and a church with gilded domes shows above the roofs in the distance, with modern towers behind it. Asphalt, wide pavements, daylight under hazy cloud. Despite the fy_ prefix, no weapons lie on the ground here.
The map measures 2624 × 2624 × 1376 units, a square plan with room above it for four-storey facades. 14 counter-terrorist and 13 terrorist spawns seat 27 players. There are no bomb sites, no hostages and no floor weapons, and buy zones are set to auto, so the engine places them at the spawns. Geometry is light: 1,997 faces and 83 textures, only three of them packed into the .bsp, against 5,383 faces for de_dust2. No water. Most of the scenery is model work rather than brushwork: 56 sprite-cycler props sit alongside 10 non-solid decorative pieces, two ladders and a single ambient sound emitter. Along with the .bsp the archive installs 23 street models, ambience sounds and its own texture .wad.
