Description

A tiled swimming complex: an open-air pool on a cream tile deck, a diving board, sun loungers with striped fabric, and changing rooms behind it. One shot stands at the poolside between wall panels carrying large printed photographs; another goes inside to a blue-tiled hall with a white band at mid-height, strip lights on the ceiling and washbasins along a wall; a third is the red-tiled half of the same interior with a row of grey lockers; a fourth takes the whole complex from above and shows how small the plan is, with the sea line drawn flat behind it. Weapons lie scattered on the floor of every room. The layout and the texture set place it in the poolday family of maps.

The map measures 1664 × 2176 × 672 units, a small and low plan. 16 counter-terrorist and 16 terrorist spawns seat 32 players in it. There are no bomb sites and no hostages, and buy zones are set to auto, so the engine places them at the spawns. Instead the map hands out weapons on the ground: 6 HE grenades and pairs of TMP, P90, MAC-10, AK-47, SG 552, M4A1, AUG, Scout, G3SG1, AWP, M3, XM1014 and M249, which is the whole game of it. Geometry is 2,107 faces and 36 textures, all packed into the .bsp, against 5,383 faces for de_dust2. Two water brushes fill the pool. Four ambient sound emitters and four non-solid decorative pieces round out the entities. Along with the .bsp the archive installs ambience sounds.
