Description
A frontier town of timber buildings in a canyon of red rock. Everything is built of weathered planks and boards: false fronts with painted lettering, covered porches on posts, a barn with double doors and hay bales beside it, a horse rail, a handcart standing in the middle of the street. Signs over the porches name a hotel, a sheriff office, a bank and a grocery store, and one of them labels the bomb site as a shop. The ground is bare packed dirt, rutted and pale, and eroded mesas rise close on every side with a stand of dark green trees behind the roofs. The sky is a soft pink haze and the light is diffuse, without hard shadows.
The map measures 3104 × 2848 × 752 units, a compact and low box: de_dust2 covers 4864 × 5600 in the same units. 16 counter-terrorist and 16 terrorist spawns seat 32 players in that space, so contact comes quickly. Two bomb sites, no hostages, and buy zones are set to auto, meaning the map has none of its own and the engine places them at the spawns. Geometry is 5,700 faces and 69 textures, 33 of them packed into the .bsp, which puts it right beside de_dust2 at 5,383 faces. No water. The entity list is mostly facade work: 48 non-solid decorative pieces, plus eight ladders, five breakable objects and two ambient sound emitters. Besides the .bsp the archive installs sounds and a radar overview.
