Description

An abandoned town of prefabricated apartment slabs, rebuilt after the real Pripyat. Five-storey blocks of concrete panels and white tile face every yard, their balconies half glazed and half open, the windows dark. One shot takes an inner courtyard with a dead bare tree in the middle, a playground of climbing bars and a small canopy over a sandpit, and an orange truck parked along the wall. Another goes into a stairwell: plaster peeling off the walls in patches, a wooden handrail on thin metal balusters, a fluorescent tube burning above lift doors. A third stands in a concrete undercroft on square columns banded yellow and black, with a rusted bus outside the opening. A fourth opens onto a wide paved square with a shop under a colonnade, cyrillic lettering across its fascia, a wrecked car on the slabs and bare young trees. Daylight is grey and flat under solid overcast.

The map measures 7583 × 7585 × 1626 units, an almost square footprint and a very large one: de_aztec, the biggest of the stock maps, is 7328 × 4432 × 2368. Fifteen counter-terrorist and fifteen terrorist spawns seat 30 players. There are two bomb sites, no hostages and no rescue zones, and the map marks buy zones for both teams itself. Geometry reaches 15,318 faces and 188 textures, well beyond cs_italy at 8,528 faces and 102 textures, and the entity count is 710. Only three textures are packed into the .bsp; the rest come from the .wad the archive ships. There is no water. Scenery is built from 264 sprite props, 133 non-solid brushes and 15 sprite effects, with 35 ambient sound sources placed around the town, two rotating mechanisms and one ladder. Besides the .bsp the archive installs 51 models, eight sounds, four sprites, its own .wad and a radar overview.
