Description
A huge cobbled parade square walled in by landmark architecture. On one side a red brick curtain wall with a tall clock tower over a gate; opposite it a long arcaded department store front in pale stone; at the far end a dark red building bristling with towers and pinnacles; and on a third shot a cathedral of coloured onion domes with a modern high-rise silhouette behind it. The paving is grey granite sett laid in fans, cut by white lane markings, and low fenced platforms and a stepped tribune break the open ground. Armoured vehicles and tanks are parked around the square as cover, with clipped conifers along the wall and a bronze monument on a plinth near one corner. Daylight, high sun, scattered cloud. The square is a real place and the map copies its silhouette closely.
The map measures 7463 × 7936 × 4016 units, a bigger footprint than de_aztec (7328 × 4432 × 2368) and taller as well. Ten counter-terrorist and ten terrorist spawns seat 20 players on it, which leaves a lot of empty stone between contacts. Four bomb sites rather than the usual two, no hostages, and buy zones are set to auto, meaning the map has none of its own and the engine places them at the spawns. Geometry runs to 4,351 faces and 98 textures, 91 of them packed into the .bsp. The detailing is sprite-heavy: 115 sprite entities and 34 ambient sound emitters, plus 27 non-solid decorative pieces, eight breakables, one moving train object, one water brush and a single ladder. Besides the .bsp the archive installs sounds, sprites and a radar overview image.
