Description
A sunlit town of pale limestone beside water. Flat-roofed houses, a square tower, arched bridges and sand streets sit under a blue sky with drifting cloud, and palm trees stand at the corners. One bomb site is a wooden pier on stilts over green water: crates marked A under a plank canopy, with a ladder running down into the water. Another shot goes indoors, into a hall of stone arches with a patterned tile floor, blue tilework along the skirting and a rectangular pool of bright turquoise water taking half the room. A third looks along a long wall where the letters B and A are painted with arrows pointing either way, and a fourth takes a yard of crates, staircases and the tower above them.
The map measures 4864 × 4224 × 896 units, exactly as wide as de_dust2 (4864 × 5600 × 960) and a little shorter. Sixteen spawns per side seat 32 players. There are two bomb sites, no hostages, and buy zones marked for both teams. Geometry runs to 9,556 faces and 66 textures, all packed into the .bsp, well above de_dust2 at 5,383 faces and close to cs_italy at 8,528. The sky is the saides set, and two water brushes hold the pool and the water under the pier. What the player handles: 14 animated sprites, 9 ambient sound sources, 5 breakable objects and 4 ladder brushes. Along with the map the archive installs models of its own and seven ambience sounds.
