Description
A mountain village at night with snow lying over everything. The frames alternate between outside and inside a timber inn: outdoors, dark blue sky over rubble-stone walls with barred windows, snow-covered courtyards divided by low walls, a wooden gallery running along a facade, a lit sign over the entrance and a tall advertising board by the steps. Indoors, the same building has plank floors and walls, stone piers holding up the upper level, a stair to the first floor, a deep red carpet laid down the middle of the lounge and round tables with warm glowing shades, armchairs pulled up to them. A view from the gallery down into the lounge shows how open the interior is: one long room read from above rather than a set of small compartments.
The village is 4262 × 3007 × 1665 map units, and the height figure is the interesting one: the interiors stack two floors and a gallery. Ten spawns per side seat 20 players. Four hostages and one rescue zone set the round, there are no bomb sites, and the map has no buy zones of its own, so the engine places buying at the spawns. Geometry is 7256 faces on only 54 textures, more polygons than de_dust2 (5383) with fewer surfaces to dress them. Twelve breakable objects and four ladders are placed about, and the archive holds the .bsp alone.
