Description
A settlement of timber lodges in a snowed-in mountain valley at night. Snow lies on the ground, on the roofs and along the ledges of the rock walls that close the valley off; street lamps and porch lights pick out plank walls, bare trees and stacks of firewood. One frame follows a lane cut between cliffs to a lamp post and a crate, another shows a cellar under one of the houses with concrete block walls, wooden shelving, crates and a floor grating, and a third looks down on a lodge with a ladder up to its roof and a railed porch at the front.
The valley measures 4800 × 4096 × 960 map units. Sixteen spawns per side seat 32 players. Four hostages and one rescue zone set the objective, there are no bomb sites, and the map has no buy zones of its own, so the engine places buying at the spawns. Geometry comes to 8,433 faces and 65 textures, every one of them packed into the .bsp itself, against 5,383 faces in de_dust2. Twenty-one breakable objects, two doors and one ladder round out the entity list, and the archive installs seven models of its own alongside the map.
