Description
A city block at night under deep snow. Brick and stone tenements of three and four storeys stand around fenced yards, with lit windows, fire escapes on the facades, bare trees, benches and a snowed-over car at the kerb; taller towers and a gas holder loom over the rooftops in the distance. One shot looks down on a basketball court boxed in by mesh fencing, tracks trodden across the snow leading up to it. Another finds a lit shop front with a glass display window, a manhole with a burning flare beside it, ringed by a low metal railing hung with pink lamps. Strings of coloured bulbs run along the parapets, and warm and cold light sources tint the snow through the whole block.
The map measures 2184 × 4150 × 488 units, a long narrow strip with a low ceiling, and it holds two bomb sites. Ten spawns per side seat twenty players, both starting inside a buy zone; there are no hostages or rescue zones. Geometry is 3,856 faces over 148 textures, none embedded, which is why the archive ships its own de_Smalltown.wad. Snow is declared as the map weather and the sky texture is ntc_. Set dressing is heavy for a map this size: 112 sprite entities, eleven see-through decorative brushes, two sprite emitters, three breakables and six ambient sound sources. The archive also installs 31 models, 6 sounds, 4 sprites and a radar overview image.
