Description
Bright green skulls, drawn flat and outlined in black, are tiled across a black blade at several sizes and angles, running right over the sawback teeth and the fuller without breaking. The tip is left dark where the pattern runs out, and guard, grip and pommel are black. The M9 Bayonet is a fighting knife the US Army adopted in 1986, and its scabbard turns it into a wire cutter.
The view model holds 2,818 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 40 bones, under fourteen textures: three stock hand maps of the game, ten pieces of the knife and a 64×64 chrome map for the mirrored sheen GoldSrc fakes on metal. The skull tiling itself lives on the 200×989 and 204×1001 strips that cover the two faces of the blade. The idle runs 360 frames, the draw 30 and each slash 36. What other players see was rebuilt to 1,512 polygons where the stock third-person knife has 112, and nine knife sounds ship with the archive. There is no dropped-knife model, so on the ground it stays standard.
