Description
Crimson floods the blade from the guard and thins out towards the point, leaving the tip and the upper part of the fuller as polished steel, so the finish reads as a break running along the blade rather than an even coat. The gloves are the point of the release as much as the knife: red knitted backs with black panels, dark padded plates over the knuckles and a maker’s mark stitched across the back of the hand. The M9 Bayonet is a fighting knife the US Army adopted in 1986, and with its scabbard it works as a wire cutter.
The view model is heavy at 18,590 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 38 bones, and thirteen textures divide the work. Two of them are the gloves and the arm at 544×547 and 340×519, both far larger than any hand map the stock game uses; ten more are the parts of the knife, including 200×989 and 204×1001 for the faces of the blade; and a 64×64 chrome map adds the mirrored sheen GoldSrc fakes on metal. The idle runs 360 frames, the draw 30 and each slash 36. What other players see was rebuilt to 1,512 polygons where the stock third-person knife has 112, and nine knife sounds are in the archive. There is no dropped-knife model, so on the ground it stays standard.
