Description
The dark end of the green Doppler range: the blade is almost black along the spine and at the point, and only over the fuller and the sawback teeth does the colour lift into emerald smoke. The hands wear bright green gloves with a spiderweb print and a brand name across the back, so nothing of the stock hands is visible. The M9 Bayonet is the fighting knife the US Army adopted in 1986, and paired with its scabbard it works as a wire cutter.
The view model holds 18,590 polygons against the stock knife’s 1040, on 38 bones, under thirteen textures. A 544×547 map covers the gloves and a 340×519 one the forearm, both of them the porter’s rather than the game’s; ten more split the knife into parts, with 200×989 and 204×1001 strips for the two faces of the blade; and a 64×64 chrome map adds the mirrored sheen GoldSrc fakes on metal. The idle runs 360 frames, the draw 30 and the stab 36. What other players see was rebuilt at 1512 polygons where the stock third-person knife has 112, and the nine knife sounds come with the archive. There is no dropped-knife model, so on the ground it stays standard.
