Description
The colour sits on the curve of the blade alone: a dark crimson with a cracked, marbled grain running through it, while the spine, the guard and the finger ring stay matt black. The karambit comes from Southeast Asia, its curved blade following the line of a tiger claw, with a ring at the butt of the handle for the finger. The name promises a storm, but what is painted here reads as red stone rather than weather.
The view model holds 4,070 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 40 bones, under thirty-four textures. Three of them are hand maps at the stock sizes, 252×123, 124×126 and 252×255, under the author’s own file names; the rest are separate pieces of the knife, from a 108×518 sliver to a 712×120 band. Six repeat the blade maps at identical sizes as a second, brighter set. There is no chrome map. The idle runs 268 frames and the draw 29. The archive carries the view model alone, so in other players’ hands and on the ground the knife stays standard.
