Description

The name points at violet, but the knife on screen is black end to end: blade, guard, grip and finger ring all in the same dark, faintly glossy coat, with the shape read only from the highlights along the edge. The karambit comes from Southeast Asia, its curved blade following the line of a tiger claw, with a ring at the butt of the handle for the finger.

The view model holds 27,642 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, a heavy count for GoldSrc, on 38 bones and only three textures: the stock Leet Crew arms at 512×512, a 512×512 map for the knife and a second 512×512 map for its metal shading. There is no 64×64 chrome map, so the sheen comes from that painted second map rather than from the engine trick. The idle runs 318 frames and the draw 24. The archive holds the view model alone, so in other players’ hands and on the ground the knife stays standard.
