Description
A blocky village built entirely from cube textures, walled in and standing on a lawn of grass blocks under a starfield sky with a purple nebula. The houses are log and brick with red or sand-coloured roofs, small square windows and a plot of tilled beds behind a fence. Inside, one frame shows a room with plank walls, a furnace, a chest and a wall of tools; another, a two-storey interior with a bookshelf and a lit fireplace. Underground, a mine corridor of banded stone runs over a channel of lava.
The village measures 2064 × 1040 × 616 map units, a small fraction of de_dust2 and one of the most compact layouts the engine will hold, built from 2,777 faces on 34 textures. Nine counter-terrorist spawns and twelve terrorist ones seat twenty-one players. Despite the name, the map has no hostages and no rescue zones, and no bomb sites either, so nothing ends a round but elimination; there are no buy zones, so the engine places them at the spawns. Four ladders carry players between levels and water is present. Along with the map, the archive installs its own texture wad.
