Description
The players are shrunk to the size of chess pieces: the whole map is a giant chess set on a wooden table, ringed by a forest of enormous tree trunks. Carved stone pieces stand on their squares, a chess clock waits at the edge of the board, and a wooden box with metal mesh ramps offers a climb onto the tabletop. Dim, diffuse light falls through the trees, keeping most of the board in shadow.
The volume measures 3136 × 2624 × 2368 units and needs only 2937 faces and 14 textures, sparse geometry by the engine’s standards. Eight spawns per side seat sixteen players. Despite the cs_ prefix there are no hostages, rescue zones or bomb sites: the teams simply fight over the board. Buy zones are not mapped, so the engine places them at the spawns, and four ladders help scale the furniture. Besides the map the archive installs a radar overview and two map support files.
