Description
A Moorish palace of ochre plaster and brick, with pitched roofs of curved tile, horseshoe arches and lattice windows, set against wooded mountains. The main courtyard is paved in cracked stone with a low fountain at the centre and narrow water channels running to it in a cross; another terrace holds two rectangular pools of clear water framed by tiled bands, with a vine covered wall and a balcony above. Elsewhere the map turns into cobbled lanes between rendered walls, an iron bench under trailing greenery, and a dim vaulted hall lit by small stained glass windows where hostages wait. The sky is daylight, tinted pale lavender in one frame and plain blue in another. One image is not a screenshot at all but a top down render of the whole layout, which shows how the courtyards chain together.
The map is 3280 × 4736 × 1040 map units, close to cs_italy at 2896 × 5216 × 944 in both plan and height. Ten spawns per side seat 20 players. There are no bomb sites; four hostages and two rescue zones set the objective, and the map has no buy zones of its own, so the engine places buying at the spawns. Geometry comes to 10,841 faces on 115 textures, all embedded in the .bsp, where cs_italy has 8,528 faces and 102 textures. The entity list is mostly scenery: 42 non solid detail brushes, ten breakable objects, seven ladders, four ambient sound sources and three volumes of water for the pools and channels. The archive installs its own models, four ambience sounds, the de_vegas.wad texture pack and a radar overview.
