Description
A silly face daubed in white over a dark disc: one wide eye, one squeezed shut, a crooked mouth with the tongue lolling out to the side, and paint running off the chin in thin streaks. The drawing has no transparency at all, so a solid black square lands on the wall with the face in the middle of it, not just the outline.
The source page offered a raw 8-bit logo rather than a finished wad, so the file was packed into wad3 on import. It measures 64x64 pixels, and since a pixel equals a unit on the wall while a player in CS 1.6 stands 72 units tall, the square comes out a little shorter than a man. The palette is nearly used up at 232 colours of 256, nothing in the frame is transparent, and the 6,296-byte file fits the 16 KB a server accepts for a player logo. Two internet shortcut files sit in the archive as well.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
