Description
A face pulling a pained grimace, drawn in rough white strokes on a dark round blob: both eyes screwed shut into crosses and a wide zigzag mouth of clenched teeth, with long paint runs dripping from the chin. There is no transparency in the picture, so the wall gets a filled black square with the grimace on it rather than the drawing alone.
The source page carried a raw 8-bit logo instead of a finished wad, so it was packed into wad3 on import. The image is 64x64 pixels; a pixel equals a unit on the wall and a player in CS 1.6 is 72 units tall, which puts the square just under a man’s height. The palette is loaded with 223 colours out of 256, no part of the frame is transparent, and the 6,296-byte file fits the 16 KB limit a server accepts for a player logo. Two internet shortcut files are in the archive too.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
