Description
A chicken head reduced to a few strokes: a round outlined face, a hooked beak and wattle in the middle, and a ragged comb sticking up from the top. Paint runs down from the chin in a curtain of drips. It is painted in white over grey with a coarse spray grain and no colour at all. The background is opaque, so a solid black square goes up on the wall with the drawing.
The picture is a 64x64 wad3, built into a .wad here because the source page held the raw 8-bit logo instead of a finished file. One pixel is one unit on the wall and a CS 1.6 player is 72 units tall, so the square stands a bit lower than a person. The palette holds 236 of its 256 slots, which is what a grainy greyscale costs, and no pixel in the frame is transparent. The file is 6,296 bytes, well inside the 16 KB tempdecal limit. Two internet shortcut files came along in the archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
