Description
A rooster's head in profile, painted white and grey with a dark body, its comb swept back like a quiff and a heavy half-closed eyelid giving it a smug sideways look. Paint drips run down from the eye and the wattle. The background is opaque black, so the wall gets a filled black square with the bird inside it.
A wad3 spray of 64x64 pixels. One pixel is one unit on the wall and a player in CS 1.6 is 72 units tall, so the head prints slightly shorter than the player. The palette carries 237 of the 256 possible colours, almost all greys. Nothing in the frame is transparent. The file is 6,296 bytes, comfortably under the 16 KB tempdecal limit. The source page held a raw 8-bit logo rather than a ready .wad, and the wad was packed from it; two internet shortcuts shared the archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
