Description
An oval speech bubble in white spray paint with DENIED lettered across it in rough capitals. Long streaks run down through the middle of the bubble and off its tail, as if the paint was laid on too thick. The background is opaque black, so the wall gets a solid black square with the bubble on top of it.
A wad3 spray of 64x64 pixels. A pixel is a unit on the wall and a player in CS 1.6 stands 72 units tall, so the bubble prints slightly shorter than the player. The palette uses 232 of 256 colours, almost entirely greys. There is no transparency in the frame. The file weighs 6,296 bytes, well under the 16 KB tempdecal limit. The source page offered a raw 8-bit logo rather than a ready .wad, so the wad was packed from it, and two internet shortcuts sat in the archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
