Description
A squat, barrel-bodied character glaring out from under a brown hat, with white gloves raised at both sides and a metal band around the middle of its body. Everything sits inside a splash of red paint with long drips running off the bottom edge. The colours are rust red, brown and dirty white, painted with visible spray grain. The background is transparent, so only the splash and the figure appear on the wall.
The file is a wad3 tempdecal.wad, 80x80 pixels. Since one pixel is a unit on the wall and a CS 1.6 player is 72 units tall, the splash lands at roughly player height. The palette is close to full with 247 of 256 colours, which the shading and the grain use up, and 52.5% of the frame is transparent. At 9,356 bytes it fits the 16 KB tempdecal limit with room to spare. Two internet shortcut files were packed beside it in the archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
