Description
A Halloween village on a foggy hill. A white clapboard house with lit windows stands above a stone crypt built into the slope, bare branching trees and ivy grow around it, an ambulance is parked on the dirt road and street lamps glow through the mist under a heavy grey sky. Other frames go inside and downhill: rooms with bookshelves, filing cabinets and a lit fireplace, carved pumpkins left in the corners, a cellar washed in red light, a large television in a dark lounge, and a paved road that leaves the village towards a tunnel mouth in the bare woods.
The map runs 3200 × 5616 × 1288 units, long and narrow rather than square, and it is dense: 13,681 faces with 179 textures embedded in the .bsp, well past cs_italy at 8,528 faces and 102 textures. There are 32 counter-terrorist spawns and 4 terrorist ones, so a full round can hold 36 players. No bomb sites and no hostages are placed, and buy zones read as auto, which means the map defines none and the engine puts them at the spawns. Ten doors, five ladders and two breakable objects are what a player actually handles; the fog is a map entity, and more than a hundred sprites plus 146 illusionary brushes carry the foliage, glow and haze. The archive also installs five models, three sounds and a set of sprites.
