Description
No paint at all: the blade is bare dark steel with a lighter band along the ground edge and the fuller cut in as a shadow, and the guard and pommel match it. The ring on the guard, the fitting by which a bayonet slides onto a rifle barrel, is the brightest piece on the knife.
The view model holds 5,081 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 38 bones, under seventeen textures, and one of them is a 64×64 file named for chrome and mapped to the ring, the GoldSrc trick for a mirrored sheen on metal. The rest are ordinary maps: 1024×177 and 1024×194 for the faces of the blade, 1024×94 for the spine, 272×468 for the grip. The idle runs 150 frames and each attack 28. The third-person model was rebuilt to 4,404 polygons where the stock one has 112, carrying the same chrome map, and nine knife sounds are in the archive. No dropped-knife model is supplied, so on the ground it stays standard.
