Description
A driving course rather than a firefight. The ground is coarse gravel and sand, the walls are plain pale grey-green brick raised into a broad circuit, and the whole thing is built as a track with obstacles instead of rooms. One shot puts the camera right beside a drivable open-top jeep, yellow with a red panel and the number 01 on its side. Another looks over a bend from above: a chequered banner strung across the road marks the line, a round concrete pillar stands in the way, a wooden ramp waits on the right and the jeep is crossing the sand below. A third goes into a covered gallery lit by wall lamps, with a long plank ramp along the left wall and a pool of blue water at the far end. Daylight, no shadows to speak of.
The map measures 7872 × 5440 × 1608 units, a large footprint by engine standards, wider than de_aztec (7328 × 4432 × 2368) though lower. Ten counter-terrorist and ten terrorist spawns seat 20 players. Objectives are mixed: one bomb site and four hostages, with no rescue zones, and the map marks no buy zones of its own, so the engine places them at the spawns. Geometry is deliberately sparse at 1,874 faces and 54 textures, eight of them packed into the .bsp, against 5,383 faces in de_dust2, which is what leaves room for open driving. Two drivable vehicles are the centrepiece; three ladder brushes, four breakable objects and one water volume make up the rest of the course. Besides the .bsp the archive installs its own models and an extra file in the maps folder.
