Description
A cut-down dust2 with the sand replaced by snow. The sandstone walls, arched window openings and carved cornices come straight from the original, but the ground between them is a flat white crust, and the light on the frames is midday under a blue sky with thin cloud. One frame looks across a low wall with green ammo crates stacked behind it, another runs along a corridor towards a tunnel arch with wooden crates in front of it, a third takes in the central block from the outside with steps climbing to a doorway. Only part of the original layout is kept, and the shots show the same handful of areas from different sides.
The map covers 3200 × 4672 × 1024 map units, a smaller footprint than de_dust2 at 4864 × 5600 × 960. Geometry runs to 3,586 faces and 31 textures, 27 of them embedded in the .bsp, against 5,383 faces and 44 textures in de_dust2. Twenty spawns per side seat forty players. There is one bomb site, no hostages and no rescue zones, and no buy zones are built into the map, so the engine puts them at the spawns. Twelve non-solid decorative brushes, two breakable objects and two ambient sound entities make up the entity work. The sky texture is trainyard, there is no water, and apart from the .bsp the archive carries only a couple of files in the maps folder.
