Description
A cut-down dust2 in the textures of the later games, narrowed to one half of the usual plan. One shot looks over a raised courtyard with crates on pallets behind a low parapet, a stepped block of houses with shuttered windows and a wooden ladder up a wall; another goes under a wide arch into a covered passage with concrete beams, strip lights and crates in the middle; a third runs along a whitewashed building with an awning, two ladders leaning on the wall and a stencilled letter with an arrow at the corner; the last stands among whitewashed walls with wooden posts and beams, barrels at the foot of a mast and a palm behind the roofline. Bright day, thin cloud.
The layout takes 3224 × 6056 × 1344 map units, so it is a long strip: narrower than de_dust2 at 4864 × 5600 × 960 across, the same depth, and half again as tall. It holds 9,739 faces on 169 textures, all embedded in the bsp. Sixteen spawns a side seat 32 players in that strip. There is a single bomb site, no hostages, and buy zones for both teams. Scenery is carried by 77 illusionary brushes and nine ambient sound sources. The archive holds the map alone.
