Description
A daylight rebuild of the warehouse siege with far more detail than the original carries. The yard is worn concrete slab, walled in by red brick factory buildings with boarded and broken windows, an ochre corrugated shed with a number stencilled on its flank, white and blue containers laid out singly and in stacks, palisade fencing, a rusted steel silo over a concrete pump house and a raised road where a truck stands in a tunnel mouth. Inside, the hall is bare concrete with arched bays, a sunken loading road, pallets and a forklift parked on the floor. The hostage room is a service space with tiled floor, lockers, control cabinets, a grated floor hatch and the hostages waiting in it.
The map is 4013 × 4604 × 1611 map units. Twelve spawns per side seat 24 players, so the layout is roomy for the number of people in it. Four hostages and two rescue zones set the objective, there are no bomb sites, and the map has no buy zones of its own, so the engine places buying at the spawns. Geometry is 11,408 faces and 149 textures, all of them embedded in the .bsp: that is more than twice the 5,383 faces of de_dust2 and more than three times the 3,206 of the stock cs_assault, which is where the detail in the frames comes from. Thirteen ladders, twelve breakable objects, eighteen sprites, ten static props and two ambient sound sources are placed around the level. The archive installs nine model folders, four sprite sets, two sounds and a radar overview alongside the map.
