Description
A mouth thrown wide open fills the whole frame: a crooked row of teeth along the upper jaw, a dark tongue curling below, and thick paint runs falling from the chin towards the bottom edge. The drawing is monochrome, white and grey strokes over black, with the outline sprayed rather than inked. The background is opaque, so the wall gets a filled black square rather than the mouth on its own.
Format wad3, 64×64 pixels. A pixel of the spray equals one unit on the wall, and a CS 1.6 player is 72 units tall, so the square reaches about to the shoulders. The palette holds 227 entries of the 256 available, nearly all of them greys. There is no transparency at all. The file weighs 6,296 bytes and fits the 16 KB tempdecal limit at which a server accepts the image as a player logo. The source page carried a raw 8-bit logo instead of a ready wad, so the wad was packed from it; two internet shortcuts came in the same archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
