Description

A dollar sign encrusted with gemstones, with two curved horns growing out of the top and little sparkle marks to the sides. It is drawn in greys with a grainy spray texture and a short drip under the bottom. The background is not transparent: a solid black square goes up on the wall together with the drawing.

The picture is a 64x64 wad3, packed into a .wad here because the source page carried the raw 8-bit logo rather than a ready file. A pixel is a unit on the wall and a CS 1.6 player is 72 units tall, so this square comes out a little shorter than a person. The palette is nearly full at 230 of 256 entries, which is what the grain costs, and nothing in the frame is transparent. The file weighs 6,296 bytes, comfortably inside the 16 KB tempdecal limit. Two internet shortcut files came along in the archive.

How to install the spray

  1. Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
  2. Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
  3. Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
  4. In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.

The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
