Description
A white spray-can tag reading "1G", the two characters drawn in one loose loop with a tail that sweeps out to the left and thin paint drips running down from it. Nothing but white on black: the background is fully opaque, so the wall gets a solid black square with the tag inside it rather than the letters alone.
A wad3 spray, 64x64 pixels. A pixel equals a unit on the wall and a CS 1.6 player is 72 units tall, so the square sits just below player height. The palette uses 230 of its 256 slots, spent almost entirely on the grey edges of the strokes, and there is no transparency at all. The file is 6,296 bytes against the 16 KB tempdecal limit. The source page carried a raw 8-bit logo rather than a ready .wad, so the .wad was assembled from it. Two internet shortcuts came in the same archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
