Description
A lightbulb drawn in white spray paint, its outline shaky the way a freehand stencil-free tag is, with short rays fanning out around the glass and a screw thread hatched below. A thin drip runs down from the base. The drawing is pure greyscale, and the background is opaque black rather than transparent, so the wall receives a filled black square with the bulb sitting on it.
A 64x64 wad3, assembled during import from the raw 8-bit logo found on the source page. One pixel is one unit on the wall and a CS 1.6 player is 72 units tall, so the square stops just short of his head. The palette occupies 227 of its 256 slots, nearly all of them shades between black and white, and no part of the frame is transparent. The file weighs 6,296 bytes and fits the 16 KB tempdecal limit easily. Two internet shortcut files came in the archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
