Description
The snarling beast head of the Howling Dawn artwork: an open jaw, bared teeth and a mane streaming back in ragged tongues of orange, rust and pale yellow, as if the fur were catching fire. Behind it the artist laid a dark brown-red spray blot with visible speckling and drips, and the head breaks past its edge on the right.
The wad3 is 80×80 pixels, and since a pixel becomes a unit on the wall, the print stands roughly a player’s height, a player being 72 units. Only 176 palette slots out of 256 are occupied, which suits the narrow warm range of the drawing; about 35.8% of the frame is transparent, and the 9,356-byte file fits the 16 KB a server accepts for a player logo.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
