Description
Two fat sprayed letters in dark grey with a ragged white halo around them and thin runs of paint dripping below, laid over a pale grey field. Everything is greyscale, down to the speckle the aerosol left around the strokes. Nothing in the picture is transparent, so the wall receives a full light grey square with the lettering on it rather than the letters by themselves.
A wad3 file, 64×64 pixels. One spray pixel is one unit on the wall and a CS 1.6 player is 72 units tall, so the patch sits just under player height. The palette holds 244 of its 256 colours, almost all of them greys, and no pixel is transparent. The source page offered the logo as a raw 8-bit image, and the .wad was assembled from it during import. The file weighs 6,296 bytes, comfortably below the 16 KB tempdecal limit. Two internet shortcuts to the source site also travel in the archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
