Description
"200 IQ" in fat white bubble letters stacked on two lines, with long paint runs dripping off the bottom of every character. The gamer's standard sarcasm for a play that somehow worked. The background is opaque black, so the wall gets a filled black square with the lettering on it.
A wad3 spray, 64x64 pixels. A pixel is a unit on the wall and a player in CS 1.6 stands 72 units tall, so the square comes up to about a player's chin. The palette is nearly spent, 248 slots of 256, almost all of it on the grey gradients in the drips, and there is no transparency. The file is 6,296 bytes and fits the 16 KB tempdecal limit easily. The source page held a raw 8-bit logo instead of a finished .wad, so the .wad was built from it. Two internet shortcuts shared the archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
