Description
A round face in profile with closed eyes, pressing pinched fingertips to its lips and pulling them away, with two small marks flying off to the left. Paint drips from the chin. It is the chef’s kiss gesture, the one people use to say something turned out perfect. The drawing is white line work over grey with a sprayed grain, and the background is opaque, so a solid black square goes up on the wall around it.
The picture is a 64x64 wad3, assembled into a .wad here because the source page held the raw 8-bit logo. A pixel equals a unit on the wall and a CS 1.6 player is 72 units tall, so the square is a touch shorter than a person. 231 of the 256 palette slots are used, the price of the grain in an otherwise grey image, and there is no transparency. The file weighs 6,296 bytes and stays inside the 16 KB tempdecal limit. Two internet shortcut files were bundled in the archive.
How to install the spray
- Download the file and rename it to tempdecal.wad (keep the extension).
- Copy it into the cstrike folder of your game (…/Half-Life/cstrike), replacing the existing file.
- Set the file to read-only — otherwise the game overwrites it when you touch the logo settings.
- In game, press T (the spray key) to paint it on any wall.
The options menu shows the logo in one color — in the game itself the spray keeps all its colors.
