Description
Black spray blots spread over a white blade like stencil work gone wet, the point dips into solid black, and the word DEFENSE is scrawled along the fuller; the scabbard behind the hand is olive and white camouflage. The M9 Bayonet is a fighting knife adopted by the US Army in 1986, and the ring on the guard is what a bayonet slides onto a rifle barrel by.
The view model holds 2,112 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 40 bones, under thirteen textures. Three of them are the stock hand maps kept at the game’s own sizes under the porter’s file names; the other ten are separate pieces of the knife, among them 200×989 and 204×1001 strips for the faces of the blade and a 344×275 map for the guard. There is no chrome map. The idle runs 360 frames, the draw 30 and each attack 36. The third-person model was rebuilt to 1,512 polygons where the stock one has 112, and nine knife sounds are in the archive. There is no dropped-knife model, so on the ground it stays standard.
