Description
The name points at the gloves rather than the blade: the knife itself is matte black from point to pommel, with only the sawback teeth and the flat of the fuller catching any light, while both hands wear full violet mesh gloves with black knuckle plates and pale stripes down the fingers. The M9 Bayonet is a fighting knife adopted by the US Army in 1986; paired with its scabbard it works as a wire cutter.
The view model holds 13,226 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 38 bones, under thirteen textures. Two of them are the gloves and the arm at 548×542 and 340×502, sizes the stock game never uses; ten more carry the knife piece by piece, among them 200×989 and 204×1001 strips for the faces of the blade; and a 64×64 chrome map adds the mirrored sheen GoldSrc fakes on metal. The idle runs 360 frames, the draw 30 and each slash 36. The third-person model was rebuilt to 1,512 polygons where the stock one has 112, and nine knife sounds are in the archive. Nothing covers the dropped knife, so on the ground it stays standard.
