Description
Everything is matte black at once: the blade, the guard, the grip and the gloves, with no highlight anywhere except the pale slot cut through the fuller and a faint sheen along the sawback teeth. Against a light background the knife reads almost as a silhouette, and only a strip of bare forearm breaks the black. The M9 Bayonet is a combat knife the US Army adopted in 1986; together with its scabbard it works as a wire cutter.
The view model is very heavy for the engine at 22,959 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 38 bones, and just two 512×512 textures cover it: one for the arms, one for the knife. There is no chrome map. The idle runs 417 frames, the draw 38, the stab 64 and the slashes 40 and 39. The archive holds nothing but the view model, with no sounds, so in other players’ hands the knife stays standard, and on the ground it stays standard too.
