Black Laminate lays a dark layered pattern along the blade, black bands alternating with grey ones the way the layers of a laminated billet show after grinding. The M9 Bayonet is the fighting knife the US Army adopted in 1986, built to clip onto a rifle and to cut wire together with its scabbard.

The view model holds 25,308 polygons against the stock knife’s 1,040, on 38 bones and five textures. Three of those are 512×512 maps for the forearm, the glove and the fingers, and one is a 64×64 chrome map, the trick GoldSrc uses to put a mirrored sheen on metal. The third-person knife was rebuilt too, at 10,125 polygons against the stock 112. The idle runs 251 frames with an inspect in it. There is no dropped-knife model in the archive, so on the ground the knife stays standard.
